Best Roast Beef Recipe

Roast Beef Supreme:

Come into Stoltzfus Meats and buy yourself a delicious Chuck, Rump or Eye roast. Premium Choice USDA Angus beef.

  1. Buy a 3-4lb roast (Rump, Chuck or Eye)

  2. Place roast in pan (Fat side up)

  3. Rub top of meat with Lipton dry onion rub soup.

    1. 1 tsp. salt

    2. 1/2 tsp. pepper

    3. 1/4 tsp. garlic salt

  4. Add 2 cups of water to baking pan/roaster.

  5. Cover tightly with lid or foil.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 3-4hours until meat is very tender when prodded with a fork.

  7. Let roast sit for 10 minutes before slicing.

  8. Drizzle broth over meat before serving

Best Gravy option:

  • Remove meat from pan and pour broth into kettle

  • With a whisk, blend 3/4 cup water and 2 Tbsp. flour until all lumps disappear

  • Add 1/2 of flour mixture to broth and bring to boil, stirring constantly with wire whisk.

  • When broth broils, add remaining flour mixture according to how think you would like your gravy.

  • As soon as it is the consistency you like, turn heat to low until ready to serve.
